(June 22, 2023; Day 8) – As the final leg of The Ocean Race passed along the western shore of Europe before turning in to the Mediterranean, the course was also passing through an area notorious for orca attacks on boats. With seven boats in the fleet, two VO65s today had direct encounters with the killer whales.
The incidents occurred in the Atlantic Ocean to the west of Gibraltar when Team JAJO and Mirpuri Trifork
